The Wall

The Wall
If you’re not sure where you want to go, don’t be surprised if you don’t get there.

The purpose of The Wall program is to enhance your relationship with yourself.

First offered in 1979, The Wall is a powerful workshop that enables you to better understand yourself, further clarifying what you want in life and what could get in your way of having it all.

Through your participation in carefully developed processes, you examine your successes, motives, strengths and attitudes. You develop a personal statement of what success is to you. This statement will include all the elements that must be present for you to experience ever-growing fulfillment and success.

You will resolve many of your inner conflicts by identifying the major walls and stopping places that are in your way.

Building on the work you did in The Pursuit of Excellence, you will learn how to let go of attitudes, habits and patterns that do not support you and how to apply those that do.

Many participants report completing The Wall with a very high level of personal commitment to create the richest and fullest experience of life possible.

In Kelowna this seminar is conducted in a residential retreat format over four days, beginning on Thursday evening and running through to Sunday afternoon. Your tuition includes your meals. A follow-up session is conducted shortly after the program.

A prerequisite to The Wall is The Pursuit of Excellence. Once you have completed The Wall you are eligible to participate in the Advancement of Excellence.

While Context Associated programs are focused on personal development, most professionals know that when one is strengthened personally, one’s professional effectiveness is also enhanced.

The ability to establish and maintain good working relationships is crucial to success on the job, at home or in the community. In The Wall, people examine and evaluate their effectiveness in relationships and adopt new skills that can be used immediately to improve the many relationships in their lives. Having better skills in relating to others frees individuals to be more focused on the job.

Specifically, the objectives of the program as they apply to the business or organization follow:

Clarify driving needs – When people are clear about their own values and have a sense of purpose in life, they are more effective at setting priorities. In a corporate environment those who know their personal values have a stronger foundation from which to commit to the company’s mission and philosophy.

Reframe participation – Doing what we’ve always done often does not produce the results desired. At The Wall, people learn how to change the way they participate in life so there is more satisfaction and fulfillment in producing results. For the organization this means happier employees who achieve satisfaction accomplishing company goals.

Create a long-term vision – At the foundation of an effective organization is a clear, well-defined vision. This is equally important for individuals as it provides a perspective beyond day-to-day events. Once employees are aware of their personal vision, they can more fully align with and support the company’s vision.

Identify and break through walls – Each person is unique and has natural strengths and limitations. In this program, participants identify and break through the barriers that prevent them from having what they want in life. The benefits to an organization are increased cooperation with team members, greater willingness to handle issues as they arise, more effective communication, increased self-confidence and a better use of time.

Position release – Getting stuck and staying stuck is costly. Learning how to move quickly from unworkable situations has tremendous professional ramifications. People learn to identify these situations more quickly and develop more flexibility. Productivity improves as a result.

Network expansion – Today’s workplace brings together diverse groups of individuals. The success of a team or project depends on how well these people work together. People at The Wall are motivated to create a strong network and learn how to work synergistically as a team.
